14 months with this little one and we still live here for nap time. I wouldn't have it any other way 😍

As promised, a picture of me on a normal day.
Hairs up, barely held by my elastic.
Sitting on this couch, usually with a baby latched on and my eldest asking me to read a book.
Sometimes I fall asleep here with the little one, other times I'm in bed with her.
This is day 4 of little to no sleep, but we're doing alright. Somehow.
Maybe it's because my house is somehow not in complete disarray right now.. Maybe it's because I'm getting more sleep than I think I am? Maybe it's because I'm nourishing my body enough that I can handle these long days. Maybe it's because I have a supportive husband in all that we do here. Maybe it's because I have a different approach with this second child?
I'll never know.
But what I do know, is that I'm okay with being this sloppy, sleepy and unorganized mom in this stage of my life.
It also helps that I'm perfectly ok sticking my head in the ground and pretending everything is ok when I actually feel like I'm drowning.
I have a list of tasks that I've had on my "need to do this weekend" where I've only checked off 2/20 items... And the list is 3 weeks old now? 🤣
Motherhood is a riot, y'all

Hi there!
I haven't been around these necks of the internet for a while. The truth is, I haven't wanted to be present in this space much since baby girl was born. While sleep has been decent, I go through many periods where I don't sleep much at all and I honestly want to burn everything to the ground.
I bet you can't tell, but I haven't slept in 3 days - we've been waking up every 30 minutes between a clingy baby and my 6 year old coughing up a fit every hour. the power of makeup is amazing.
I needed a new picture to promote myself as I slowly start seeing clients again so thought I'd show my face and say HI!! 👋 I'm still here and doing well :)
Tomorrow, if I feel up for it, I'll share another picture of what I look like regularly - in the name of keeping things real 🤣
How have you all been?

Be kind, always. <3

The same can honestly be said for when I'm at home, too. This is just extra special.

I have this really dreamy pillow that I use exclusively as a weight over my face, and I pull the sheets up to my nose so I can breathe.

It's definitely a comfort thing, and it's the best.

Pillows are a funny thing for me though, I don't encourage people to use them, ever. Unless you're exclusively side lying, you should be flat on your back otherwise you're only causing yourself future harm.

Back onto sleep and rest. Mama, future mama, human reading this... If you need to rest, rest. Even if you can't sleep. If you're in a busy season? Slow down and rest. Just do it.

On my end, we're in a REALLY fussy phase and sleep's been so rough, so i take whatever moment I can to stop and rest, so I'm not falling asleep with my eyes open while rocking my sweet baby girl.

Do you also sleep like this? I know I can't be the only one Hehe
