CONCEPTION SUPPORT: HELPING YOU DURING YOUR FERTILITY JOURNEY

Trying to conceive should be a fun and exciting time in our lives as we look to grow our families, but the reality is that there are many individuals who are struggling with conception. If that is you, I hear you, and I see you. My role in helping you on your journey is to help you make the right dietary and lifestyle choices that can help you achieve your pregnancy goals, even if you’re presently struggling with them.

BENEFITS OF CONCEPTION SUPPORT

Prioritizing the right nutrients can help with healthy egg development, good fetal development, help with a healthy pregnancy and support mothers health throughout pregnancy, birth and postpartum!

MANAGING COMMON CONCEPTION ISSUES

Common conception issues like a lack of ovulation from PCOS or endometriosis, fibroids, declined egg quality, frequent miscarriages and the inability to get pregnant are symptoms to an imbalanced diet, lifestyle, terrain and chemical composition. Working with a fertility nutritionist can help you bring balance back into your world through nourishing foods, herbal support, and lifestyle changed. We work to support fertility by taking the time to understand our menstrual cycle, what issues may be presenting during the cycle and were deficiencies may be present! PMS and period problems don’t have to be what stops you from trying to conceive!

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it too late to start working with a fertility nutritionist if I’m already trying to conceive?

It’s never too late to start working with a fertility nutritionist even if you are currently trying to conceive. Every step that you take to best support your hormones, your menstrual cycle, ovulation and your mental health has the ability to help you conceive in the future. Working with a nutritionist to get pregnant will help you set the foundations to make healthy eggs (and sperm for the men!) to support fertility, pregnancy and the health of your baby!

I’ve been told I can’t get pregnant, can this help?

So, someone’s told you that you can’t get pregnant. To that, I have this to say: unless you don’t have a uterus and you haven’t hit menopause, you can get pregnant. Is working on your diet and lifestyle going to spring you into the right direction to help support fertility, pregnancy, birth and postpartum? Yes. Your body is built to reproduce, the key to helping you get pregnant (and stay pregnant) is to find out where your body (or mind) is blocked, where it can use some extra support through nourishment. Every decision that you make, starting today, has an effect on your fertility and overall wellbeing. Are you ready to start breaking down some of those blockages?

Does my husband have to see you for conception care, too?

While it’s not required that your husband see me for preconception support for us to work together, I would highly suggest that we at least have a conversation today. Male fertility represents half of the DNA that’s going to your offspring and sometimes infertility can come from your male counterpart! Conception care is a two person job, even if you’ve already been trying to conceive for a few months or a year, and even if the doctors told you “his sperm is fine”.

Will you share a supplement protocol with me for fertility support?

Fertility supplement protocols are individually created based on your body’s needs. I try to stay away from supplements unless there’s a need to push things to move a little faster, and I also try to stick to the effectiveness herbal medicine and homeopathy. PS. A magic supplement doesn’t exist, the same way a magic pill doesn’t. Any supplementation used is intended to add support to the body where there is a little lack, not to replace what you’re depriving yourself of.

      1.
What’s your number one recommendation to help with conception when all else is failing?

First of all, try to think of your conception struggles as a nudge from your subconscious self – a nudge that’s saying: “something isn’t right, let’s straighten it out, ok?” You are not broken and you are not a failure. That’s the first thing you need to understand. When it comes to infertility, the other thing to consider is our stress levels (don’t come at me for saying that, but it’s the truth). Stress shuts the body down and hinders fertility – both emotional stress and physical stress. From an emotional standpoint, it can be helpful to implement tools for proper stress management. From a physical standpoint, we can work on some of the foundational tools to help bring balance back into the body before diving deeper into some of the chemical, mineral, bacterial, or fungal imbalances.
